Gone for a hike

Bonjour from France!

After flying from London to Milan then driving to France, we arrived safely in Chamonix. Cold, but safe.

Our setup:

Last night’s dinner was prepared by yours truly, which meant a lot of vegetables.

Ended up being my own version of pasta primavera once finished. Bell pepper, seitan, onion, tomato, garlic and herbs mixed into whole wheat pasta!

The real reason we’re here, besides the fact that it’s simply gorgeous, is because I coaxed Ged into hiking the Tour de Mont Blanc, a105-mile hike around Mont Blanc that goes through France, Switzerland and Italy.

Look, I even had to get a fancy waterproof jacket so that I don’t die of hypothermia.

We still have a couple of bits to get (pack covers, sleeping bag liner), then we should be good to go on Friday (hopefully).

Wish me luck!
